AIMLM1 is a reliable safety device for monitoring crane hoists – main, auxiliary or both. The system comprises of a limit switch – contact or non-contact type; resistive, inductive, capacitive or magnetic type and a compact weather resistant digital indicating module, apart from connecting cables.

The Limit switch is mounted above the hoist with the support of mounting plates and is linked by cables to the indicating module mounted in the cabin. The front panel of the module is provided with two lamps and one buzzer. The Green lamp on the left side is lit when there is no fault and the hoist is safe to operate. Fault and unsafe condition is indicated when the Green lamp turns Off, the Red lamp on the right side turns On and the buzzer sounds continuously. When the fault is rectified, the Green lamp lights up again, the Red lamp and buzzer turn Off.

The module operates on 12V d.c. ( current @ 300mA ) or 15V d.c. ( current @ 500mA ); another version which operates on 1 ph., 230V a.c., 50Hz is also available.
